Poles are carefully constructed of filament-wound fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) composite. This process results in products that are three-quarters the density of wood, one-tenth that of steel, and one-third that of concrete. Additionally, unlike wood poles, composite poles do not lose strength over time.
